Stop for a moment and think of all the things that you’d like to see happen that would make our world a better place.
What would be on your list? Less poverty and hunger? An end to war and human suffering? More freedom and equality?
Let’s face it, the world desperately needs big-time help. About the only bright spot on the horizon is that there are so many worthy charities. And each of them would dearly welcome your assistance.
You can help. You can make a difference. By giving, you can change lives and bring hope and possibility to the people who need it most. So, we encourage you to commit a random act of kindness today.
Here are some organizations that would appreciate your contributions…

The Salvation Army
http://www1.salvationarmy.org/Singapore is a quality organization that’s dedicated to helping people attain their full potential. In Singapore since 1935, they make giving very easy— shop in one of their seven thrift stores or donate items that you no longer need in one of their eight donation bins. Better yet, you can make a financial contribution to them without worrying about how the money will be used— these people are committed! You won’t ever find limousines or gold-plated bathroom fixtures for their leaders— we guarantee it.

Tomorrow's Hope
http://www.thope.org/index.html cares for 200 orphans and underprivileged children on the Indonesian island of Nias. Explore their website to learn how their Singaporean founder, Michael Christian, and his wife are helping these children. To participate in their 'Sponsor a Child' Program, they match a good person (like you) with a needy child. They ask you to support ‘your’ child by contributing S$45 a month for a minimum commitment of 2 years. The gift of a happier childhood…simply priceless.
Society for the Aged Sick
http://www.societyagedsick.org.sg/ourhome.htm provides care to elderly Singaporeans who are ill and destitute. Contributions are used to provide healthcare and to make the sunset years of these peoples’ lives more meaningful and enriching.

The Kampung Senang Charity & Education Foundation
http://www.kg-senang.org.sg/ These fine people emphasize a return to the 'kampung' community spirit of Singapore's past– sincerity, simplicity, openness, and mutual concern. They envision a free and peaceful Singapore filled with community warmth, harmony, kindness, and balance. Their good works and activities include: helping people who have cancer, day care for the elderly, a child nurturing center, an organic farm, and a free medical clinic. An impressive organization! They would welcome your financial support or have you help as a volunteer.

"As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One is for helping yourself, the other is for helping others."
