Little Speck http://www.littlespeck.com/ states that its purpose is to explain trends in Southeast Asia— with primary focus on Singapore plus next-door neighbors Indonesia and Malaysia. We like this site, first, because it contains dozens of interesting articles— but what makes it even more compelling is that the articles are followed by reader comments that are refreshingly direct— thus revealing what Singaporeans really think about issues.

Trust http://www.trustmuseum.com/ features a fast-scrolling glimpse of artwork from all around the world. Some of the work is brilliant, some is less so, and some are maybe a little bit naughty. But since they scroll by so quickly, we trust that psychic damage will be minimal.

Daniel Robert Eldon http://www.daneldon.org/ An awesome site dedicated to the memory of Dan Eldon, an artist, poet, humanitarian and photojournalist who was beaten and then stoned to death in Somalia, Africa in July 1993 by a violent mob reacting to a UN bombing raid. He was twenty-two. Be sure to view his journals— they are brilliantly crafted. Additional sites featuring Dan: http://www.myhero.com/myhero/hero.asp?hero=Dan_Eldon

Lost America http://www.lostamerica.com/lostframe.html Brilliant long-exposure photographs taken by Troy Paiva at night— in the vast open spaces of the US Southwest. His powerful use of saturated colors gives new life to roadside junk and abandoned ghost towns. Intense. Mysterious. Dazzling. Wow!
